Book Donations
Donations of Books and Media
Thank you for donating books and/or media to the Friends of the West Bloomfield Library. All donations are sold at their
book sales or in the Friendshop, the volunteer-run book shop at the Main Library. The proceeds are used to fund the
purchase of special library materials and equipment and sponsor numerous programs throughout the year such as
Music @ Main
and
What's Cooking.
How to Donate Used Books and Media
Books and media can be placed in the brown Friends of the Library volunteers' donation bin located near the drive-up window
on the west side of the Main Library. Library staff are unable to assist with unloading bags and boxes of donations. Donated
items need to be placed individually in the brown Friends donation bin outside the Main Library near the drive-up window.
Bags and boxes of books or media will not be accepted inside the Main Library including the Friendshop. The donation bin
will be locked during the weekends of book sales due to a lack of storage space. The donation bin will be locked and
unavailable for donations on holidays when the Library is closed or during the week between Christmas and New Year's.
