Oakland Literacy Council provides free individualized basic reading and English language instruction to adults residing, working or attending school in Oakland County.
Walled Lake Adult Education provides English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction for students to improve their skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and life skills. Also offered are classes for high school completion for a diploma and GED. Classes begin in September, January and March.
West Bloomfield School District Adult Education offers English as a Second Language classes at all levels from pre-literacy through advanced including specialized classes such as TOEFL, TOEIC, pronunciation, accent reduction, vocational and conversation-based classes. Additionally, they offer classes leading to the completion of a high school diploma and classes in career certification.
